Who Am I? What is This?

My name is Wesley Thompson. For years, I have enjoyed numismatics as a collector, an employee of Hyatt Coins, and an academic. I founded "The Other Side of the Coin" at the inspiration of a course in digital history while seeking my MA in History. I decided to publish a resource with a mission to aid others in learning more about this interesting and oft overlooked topic of black bodies, names, and labor on United States money.

Take some time to explore the blog, read something interesting, and feel free to reach out if you would like to contribute to this mission by providing editorials, edits, or expanding the content into other focus demographics such as Native Americans or women.
